Dramatis Personae

Just for the record and all...

Me: Gabriel Lee Claycamp- I am 32 and deeply into food.  I have been several things in the last 10 years in Seattle and called a great number more.  Apparently quite a "polarizing" force in food in Seattle even an "Icon" to some people, overall I think it is quite overblown.  Really, I am just a quiet cook who likes dinner parties but when drunk is known to have an opinion or two.

Noelani: Our wonderful daughter, nicknamed bun.  Has a line of Bacon named after her.  She grew up in a cooking school raised by wolves (and foodies).  Favorite Noelani quote: (she was 6): "I really don't like other wines, only Gruner Veltliner".

Rhone Danger Claycamp: Literally born into food with 200# of duck confit and a grease fire marking his arrival. Like his little sister Jez, he had bacon fat rubbed on his gums and sucked a bottle of pernod* since he was 7 days old.  He named himself Danger btw.  (*only the tiniest drop of pernod, no we don't get our kids drunk!!)

Jezebel Rose Samara Claycamp: the cutest holy terror that ever walked... she is pure sugar when she wants something and hell when she doesn't.  "Bella" loves food and experimenting unless her brother is there.

Heidi: as always, it is all for her.

Faith: The family sourdough starter: a little sumpin sumpin from each of us to make the bread of our dreams.  Soon we will be opening Bemblemen's Bakery.  In loving memory of CHLOE r.i.p. 2003-2009 (previous starter)

All of our Culinary Communion family: the fuel for a million stories that may or may not start out: "This one time at band camp" er um foodie retreat... ;)

  1. RIP Chloe?! Say it ain't so. I still remember when we started her back in the day... and that she was actually our second attempt, since what's-her-name the cleaning lady ("girl, you have no faith in medicine) unknowingly discarded our first effort. But of course it was our fault, having not named the first one.
